Coffee Scoop

This coffee scoop is carved from cherry wood. I carved the bowl deeper to hold more coffee. For the star I used kolrosing and I used espresso grounds rubbed in the lines. This scoop will go in our motor home. When we go camping I like a latte in the afternoon. I use an espresso maker for two shots of coffee, one shot of black cherry syrup, and one cup of milk heated in a microwave to 160 degree's. It's not being spoiled but enjoying what the day brings us.

Wooden Spoon

I've had a good year and have carved a good variety of subjects. On this post, I carved a spoon from Cherry wood that was cut down last year. It was still a little green so it wasn't to hard to carve with a knife. I wanted some movement in the handle and I wanted to try some chip carving. Before carving the chip cut I took a small chip out of each center. It helped relieve the wood and the chip cut was easier. The spoon is a little other 8 inches long. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year.

Holly Spoon

I really like this spoon design for the holidays, I carved it from a carving magazine. It is 10 inches long and is carved on both sides. This colorful spoon will be a welcome decoration for our family Christmas seasons.
